If you are new to odd number sizing, the first thing you should do is find one size up from your "street size" jeans. That means your basic jeans (not super high end jeans that typically have vanity sizing). For example, I'm a 10 in most jeans. So I started with an 11. They fit in an 11 but are roomy. I can also wear the 7 and the 9! The 9 is probably the perfect fit and the 7 , which is two sizes down is better if you want a more fitted, hold you in, type of fit.
Net, size down one from your regular size. If you don't carry weight in your tummy, you can size down 2 sizes IF you want them to fit more snuggly.
